CSI - nooooo!

So yesterday I was watching the season finale of CSI (Vegas) by myself... I'm usually quiet when I'm watching tv by myself but yesterday's episode I couldn't help but gasp... nooo!

(The rest is my rant ... and if you haven't seen the episode yet, please stop reading here or else you'll see what happened. I tried to choose a colour that is hard to read - please highlight if you're interested)

Nooo! Warrick! He can't be dead, can he???
I could not believe the writers actually did that to him. I mean, the original cast... killed off like that?! Damn that sheriff guy! When I saw the diner scene where they were having breakfast, I thought, phew, I'm glad Warrick got off this ok - but since he's demoted, where is he going to go? More changes coming? Who's going to fill in his shoes??? But then everybody left one by one, and I see Warrick getting into his car in some dark alley, I thought, wait a minute... this is scary... And then, a knock on the car window - I thought, no Warrick, don't open that window, regardless of who it is! I saw it was the sheriff guy and I thought, okay, why is he there? Why does he have to be so creepy and knock on the door to congratulate him? And then... pow! Ugh! Warrick got shot in the neck! GASP!!!! There's a hole on his neck... oh no, is he dead?! Then the bastard shot him again just to make sure, wiped the gun clean and threw it in the car... nooo...

I couldn't believe what had just happened and stared at the TV for a bit... and then got online and checked the CSI boards just to realize that I watched it before it is on in the States. (CTV airs it an hour early) *sigh* Why do they have to get rid of all my favourites this way?! Speed died too on CSI:Miami... oh well. I have to wait until next season to find out the reactions of the cast... but I hope Gris and all are gonna catch that SoB!

OK, I had to vent... I'm so sad. Yes, I know it's only a tv show ... but it's one of the shows I've watched for a long time and this truly sux.

Lupin the 3rd

So I've been watching TechTV lately for Lupin the 3rd (ルパン3世) as it's been on pretty much every night lately. It's pretty kewl that such an old show is on tv. It's dubbed of course which sucks because you don't hear the distinct voicing of Lupin or Zenigata in Japanese. (yeah, no ふっじこちゃわ~ん♪)Though I was pretty impressed with the voice dub of Zenigata - they got the raspy voice right. Quite disappointed about Lupin's voice though.
The version they're showing right now is the most common of the Lupin series I guess - Lupin the 3rd is wearing a red jacket. I remember watching this when I was in Japan, so it is quite old...
What I find interesting are the phrases/words the translators or the voices obviously put in. For example, the overuse of the word "friggin". I really don't remember what they say in the Japanese version, but that word comes up a lot in an episode of English Lupin. If you're playing a drinking game, I think that would be a good word to start. haha. I think Jigen is the one that uses that word the most. It makes me want to watch the Japanese version just to check what they say!!! ...anybody know where I can watch the Japanese version??? ;)

TV tv tv...

So May sweeps is starting to end with all sorts of things happening including the announcements of fall season lineups.

I'm sooooo annoyed at NBC for cancelling one of my favourite shows! They've cancelled Crossing Jordan! It's such a good show, and I think this season in particular has been really good. Why oh why did they have to cancel it, and in such bad timing? NBC claims that they had no room for Crossing Jordan, and made room for such new shows as Bionic Woman. Okay, Crossing Jordan has been on TV for 6 years, and they've been shuffling the show all over the place. When it was on Sundays, they were always moved for some award shows or events. And then they moved it to Wednesday and they didn't bother advertising it much. I'm so sad that it didn't get the ending it deserved - as I really hoped something would come out of all that has happened in this last season. NBC better release the show on DVD!!! But in any case, I loved the show... it was good when it lasted. A strong woman lead who is also a Canadian, great cast, great direction... hopefully we'll see more shows like this one, but seeing how a lot of TV stations act lately favouring reality shows and fads (as Bionic Woman is probably came about with Heroes becoming a hit), I doubt we'll see a show like this again.

Speaking of DVDs and Tim Kring (who did both Crossing Jordan and Heroes), NBC announced that they will be releasing Heroes on DVD at the end of August. I'll definitely be getting the DVD for this, but I must say I was a little disappointed with the season finale... they built up so much to this show, and it felt like they needed a lot more than an hour to do justice to this finale.

Ok, so I'm going to mention a little bit of a spoiler, so if you haven't seen it yet, please stop reading now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The showdown between Peter and Sylar was only the last 10 minutes or something! I know they have a lot of characters to cover, but but but... the end seemed so rushed! As I sat there watching the firework display in the park through our window (yes, distraction!), I was thinking throughout the show "they're gonna run out of time! they're not gonna finish in xx minutes!" I didn't have to worry because the show did finish at 10:01PM, but it left me unsatisfied. Seemed a bit too rushed and crammed too much into one hour. The end was rather predictible also. Ah well. Still looking forward to season 2!
Monday night TV shows
I loooove watching TV. Yaaay for November sweeps! Mondays have been very exciting these days. :) I usually don't have much to watch on Mondays, but this year with the start of Heroes, I've been glued to the TV on MOndays! Here are the shows I've been watching.
Heroes (new)
I am sooo hooked to this show. The show started off very mysterious, and it's still rather mysterious, but it's getting exciting now. It's about all these characters who are discovering their hidden powers somehow getting together and saving the world... "Save the cheerleader, save the world". The big bonus point for me of this show is, there's 2 asian characters, and they're Japanese! Well, only one of the two is actually Japanese in real life, but it's nice to see... it's not often a Japanese character gets casted on a weekly show! (Actually... is this the first time????) That alone is fresh enough for me. :)
CSI: Miami
Mmmm... Horatio. :) I try to watch this every week as well, as this season started off with a bang! What? They're not in Miami? ;) I still like the original CSI better, but there's a charm only Miami has! Though, every time I watch this show, it makes me think Miami is dangerous and I should never go there! hahaha.
Without a Trace
I've been taping this now, as Without a Trace moved from Thursday nights to Monday nights. Also, Global didn't show the early season and so I was catching it on CBS, on Sunday night (which interferes with my other TV show)... So tape tape tape! I love the interactions of all the characters on this show. :)
Do I watch too much tv? Yeah, probably... other night TV shows to come!
