TV tv tv...

So May sweeps is starting to end with all sorts of things happening including the announcements of fall season lineups.

I'm sooooo annoyed at NBC for cancelling one of my favourite shows! They've cancelled Crossing Jordan! It's such a good show, and I think this season in particular has been really good. Why oh why did they have to cancel it, and in such bad timing? NBC claims that they had no room for Crossing Jordan, and made room for such new shows as Bionic Woman. Okay, Crossing Jordan has been on TV for 6 years, and they've been shuffling the show all over the place. When it was on Sundays, they were always moved for some award shows or events. And then they moved it to Wednesday and they didn't bother advertising it much. I'm so sad that it didn't get the ending it deserved - as I really hoped something would come out of all that has happened in this last season. NBC better release the show on DVD!!! But in any case, I loved the show... it was good when it lasted. A strong woman lead who is also a Canadian, great cast, great direction... hopefully we'll see more shows like this one, but seeing how a lot of TV stations act lately favouring reality shows and fads (as Bionic Woman is probably came about with Heroes becoming a hit), I doubt we'll see a show like this again.

Speaking of DVDs and Tim Kring (who did both Crossing Jordan and Heroes), NBC announced that they will be releasing Heroes on DVD at the end of August. I'll definitely be getting the DVD for this, but I must say I was a little disappointed with the season finale... they built up so much to this show, and it felt like they needed a lot more than an hour to do justice to this finale.

Ok, so I'm going to mention a little bit of a spoiler, so if you haven't seen it yet, please stop reading now.

The showdown between Peter and Sylar was only the last 10 minutes or something! I know they have a lot of characters to cover, but but but... the end seemed so rushed! As I sat there watching the firework display in the park through our window (yes, distraction!), I was thinking throughout the show "they're gonna run out of time! they're not gonna finish in xx minutes!" I didn't have to worry because the show did finish at 10:01PM, but it left me unsatisfied. Seemed a bit too rushed and crammed too much into one hour. The end was rather predictible also. Ah well. Still looking forward to season 2!
